Lorie is a partner in Gowlings’ Calgary office, practising in the Corporate Finance and M&A Group. Her practice focuses on corporate and securities transactions.
Christine received her J.D. (with Distinction) from the University of Calgary in 2011, and was the winner of the William A. McGillivray Gold Medal in Law. She completed the first portion of her articles at the Provincial Court of Alberta. She completed her articles at Verjee & Associates.
After receiving a business administration degree from the University of Western Ontario in 1963, John attended the University of Toronto, where he received a bachelor of laws degree in 1966. He was admitted to the Ontario and Alberta Bars in 1968, and appointed Queen's Counsel in 1998.

John is a former partner in Gowling Henderson's Calgary office practising in the area of technology law, acting as counsel to closely held businesses throughout his career and, since 1977, to developers and users of technology, particularly computer software, John has been rated by LEXPERT as one of Canada's leading lawyers in intellectual property and in computer law.
Rick is an LLM candidate in the Faculty of Law. He has a B.Comm., LLB and MBA degrees. He has been corporate legal counsel for a number of energy companies and has held senior management positions with Syncrude since 1988.
Janet held the position of President of the Sheldon Chumir Foundation for Ethics in Leadership from 2006 to March 2012. She continues her work in the field, having been granted a one year research and writing Fellowship by the Foundation on the subject of the rule of law. Janet holds a B.S.A.D. (Bachelor of Science in Art and Design) from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and an M.A. (Philosophy) and an LL.B. from the University of Calgary.
Ryan is an associate in the Calgary office of Norton Rose. He practises primarily in the area of energy and resources, but also focuses on business law and corporate and commercial law.
Jeffrey graduated from the U of C law school in 2000 after having been on the Dean’s List and winning the “Silver Medal” and various other awards. After articling and working in the legal department of Canadian Pacific Limited, he worked for Ernst & Young’s affiliate law firm Donahue, Ernst & Young. Jeffrey opened Kahane Law Office in 2004, concentrating on Real Estate transactions.
