Professor Nigel Bankes is in Whitehorse October 2 and 3 to attend the Yukon North Slope Conference on “Pathways to Arctic Innovation–Arctic Wildlife Conservation & Co-Management Lessons Learned and Future Challenges” and to make a presentation and participate in a panel discussion. Nigel will be speaking on a panel which will be offering a legal perspective on “the practice of implementation” and his Powerpoint slides are available here. This is the ninth Yukon North Slope Conference hosted jointly by Environment Yukon and the Wildlife Management Advisory Council (North Slope). The hosting of the conference fulfills a commitment made under paras. 12(57 - 61) of the Inuvialuit Final Agreement (1984).
