QS World University Rankings by Subject 2012 – Law

Once again the University of Calgary has been ranked as one of the top 100 law schools in the world by QS World University Rankings. The top three Canadian schools are Toronto (19th in the world), McGill (20th) and UBC (22nd), with Calgary following in a grouping from “51 – 100”, along with Alberta, Montreal and Osgoode. The rankings are based on an amalgam of three criteria: academic reputation, employer reputation, and citation count. The U of C ranked the highest of all Canadian law schools on citation count for the second year in a row..The U of C law school, founded in 1976, is the only Canadian law school that is less than 50 years old to be ranked in the top 100.
