Astrid Kalkbrenner has been awarded the 2012 John Ballem Q.C. LL.D. Post Graduate Fellowship in Energy Law and Robert Omura has been awarded the 2012 CIRL Post-Graduate Fellowship. Astrid’s LLM research was on the division of powers with regard to environmental impact assessments of nuclear power plants in Alberta. Robert received his LLM in 2011. His research was on the question of liability in environmental law in particular with respect to legal regimes for cleaning up contaminated sites. The Fellowships will be used help prepare the research for publication.
