On September 6, the Ontario Securities Commission announced that Bryce Tingle, the N. Murray Edwards Chair in Jurisdiction and Business Law, has been appointed as a member of its new Exempt Market Advisory Committee (EMAC). The EMAC, which will advise staff on possible regulatory approaches to the capital raising segment of the exempt market, is composed of individuals with significant knowledge of, or experience in, the capital raising segment of the exempt market. The EMAC will be established for a term of one year and will meet approximately four to six times over the course of that year. See the OSC news release here.
