Professor Nigel Bankes is one of the experts quoted in a June 8 Toronto Star article entitled “Carbon capture and storage: an uncertain future in Canada”. The article argues that the cancellation of Project Pioneer, and the indefinite suspension of another CCS initiative last fall, has left Alberta scrambling to meet carbon dioxide emissions targets and cast doubt on the future of CCS in Canada.
