Professor Nigel Bankes will be attending Community Information Sessions in Golden and Revelstoke on June 19 and 20 as a member of the Columbia Basin Trust’s Water Initiatives Advisory Panel. Nigel is one of 11 highly respected and internationally renowned individuals who provide advice, complete on-the-ground work in the Basin and help guide CBT's actions as a member of that Panel, serving on a pro bono basis. Currently, the Province of British Columbia is consulting with First Nations and other residents of the Columbia River Basin to ensure regional interests help shape the future of the Columbia River Treaty. The Columbia Basin Trust and local governments have arranged for open houses, discussions with experts and free dinners preceding each consultation workshop led by the Province of BC. See here for more information on these sessions and here for the Columbia River Treaty Review.
